Case Study 1 - Day Job Killer

Chris McNeeney’s Day Job Killer’s (www.DayJobKiller.com) product launch was in February 2007. For this product, a unique website design was needed. So, one was created with a theme that looked mysterious and had people wondering about it, of course, not in a bad way. On the first day of the launch, there were over 5,000 units that sold. In fact, this number was better than anything that Chris had sold before. This was due in part to a professionally branded minisite design and web graphics.

There were so many compliments about the design, if nothing else, that was what drew their attention and compelled them to purchase the product. Within the first week of the launch, Day Job Killer had grossed almost $700,000 in sales. That was a sales record for his product and being that the traditional boxed headers were not used, this direct response website with it’s stunning design helped to shatter previous records of opt-ins and sales.

Mike Filsaime’s 7 Figure Code product launched on July 7, 2007. That had a significance as being a product to be launches on that date. On the first day of the launch, almost 700 units (exactly 693) of this product were sold online. In less than five days, the first 1,000 units were sold. Within the first five days, a record number 1,500 units of this product were sold. It did not stop there. Within seven days, the 7 Figure Code set a record number of one million dollars in sales and over 2,500 units sold.

In order for the 7 Figure Code to have mass appeal, it had a minisite design along with web graphics, along with a DVD, DVD cover and binder cover. These graphics were customized to fit the overall scope of the product. This direct response website was customized and made as a marketing tool so that it would stand out and compel people to purchase the 7 Figure Code.

Case Study 3 - Bloggin To The Bank 3.0

The website www.BloggingToTheBank.com, launched its second version in 2009. Rob Benwell got the word out about the launch by going on forums, recruiting affiliates to promote the product, etc. He also offered a nice launch discount for those who helped him promote Blogging To The Bank 3.0. The minisite design along with the web graphics was customized for the product launch.

Because the direct response box was also customized, the website received over 25,000 opt-ins within a two week period. Even now he gets about 100 – 200 per day. When the product launched, sales for day one were $2,105. Within a week’s time, sales were over double that amount, taking in $5, 652. Blogging To The Bank 2.0 had so much mass appeal due to the massive promotion of it by recruited affiliates and promoting on forums and other internet mediums.
